Welcome to beautiful Tennessee, home of the Smoky Mountains!
Day one of our 10th Annual Great Bike Challenge will begin in Townsend, Tennessee, (AKA the peaceful side of the Smokies). Heading out toward the East, the Smokies are just a few miles up ahead. It won’t be long before you find yourself winding through picturesque landscapes and quaint towns. As you pass through Townsend, enjoy the sites and sounds Cades Cove and the Little River. With plenty of places to pull off to the side, don’t be hesitant to stop and take it all in! Just up the river, Laurel Falls will provide you with a scenic location to rest and have a snack. The chance to view the falls is only a short walk away! After lunch, it’s back on the road and headed toward the heart of Gatlinburg where we will settle for the night. Nestled in the Smokies, Gatlinburg offers shopping, entertainment, food and a great opportunity for a lot fun!
